Finally

The mittens are finished. I have learned a few things.
1. I will never do this again this way. Changing yarn al the time, 2 or 3 yarns at the same time, putting in the pieces of wool...to labour intensive
2. I am not a pattern-person. I get inspired by a pattern and that's it. I change the yarn and the gauge, the amount of cast on stitches and off I go. And as you understand, it always turns out different.
I can do that with a scarf, I can do that with a hat, but I can't do that with mittens. I knitted and knitted and 'forgot' to write down the changes. After ripping it several times I gave up to get the second one equally.
3. I lined it. Everytime I grasped in the wool and I didn't like it. The cuff didn't fit under my machine, so I lined it by HAND! I really felt old.....

Thankfully the recipient (it was a labor of great love) was very happy with the mittens. She already ownes the rockchick-scarf, so she has a beautiful set now.
